LIVES: Mount Isa. DESCRIBE YOURSELF IN THREE WORDS: Old retired miner. WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT WHERE YOU LIVE? It’s been my home for 40 years. I’m settled there, like the climate, like the people. I’ve been around the world but love living in Mount Isa. WHAT DOES BEING AN RACQ MEMBER MEAN TO YOU? Gives you protection and help when you need it. I’ve used the road service a number of times, once when I broke down between Mount Isa and Brisbane. WHAT WAS YOUR REACTION WHEN YOU FOUND OUT YOU WON A NEW FORESTER X? I thought it was a hoax. Until I actually saw the vehicle, I didn’t believe I’d won. I didn’t even tell anyone until I was 100 percent sure. The only thing I’d ever won was a vegie tray at the local club, and that was some time ago. It was a real good shock.
