MAKES YOUR DAY AUG/SEP 2011 THE ROAD AHEAD 35 BRISBANE FESTIVAL TRAVEL BRISBANE FESTIVAL WILL light up the city's streets and creative spaces with a fusion of high art and pop culture from September 3-24. From theatre, music and dance, to fringe, fireworks and light shows, indie rockers to the world's greatest classical pianist, the bold and beautiful Brisbane Festival offers the hottest tickets in town. One of the not-to-be-missed events is the Together Brisbane exhibition, which brings together an inspiring collection of photos, stories and messages that celebrate the city's community spirit. Uplifting, original, funny and sometimes quirky, these exhibits, which will appear throughout Brisbane at popular venues during the festival, tell the world that Brisbane is reenergised and back to its best -- if not better than ever. Brisbane Marketing's Together Brisbane project was launched in April 2011 by Lord Mayor Graham Quirk, and has garnered support from all corners of the Brisbane community. Both businesses and residents have been heading online to the interactive website -- www.togetherbrisbane.com.au -- to share their photos, stories and love of Brisbane with the world. The website so far has had more than 10,000 visitors and 500 messages distributed throughout 138 countries that now form the backbone of this unique user- generated exhibition.
