FEATURE | MEMBER ESSENTIALS it's all 'appening SAVING MONEY IS AS SIMPLE AS PUSHING A BUTTON WITH THE 'MEMBERS SAVE' FEATURE OF THE RACQ MOBILE APP. STORY DEB ECCLESTON SINCE IT WAS launched earlier this year, 'Members Save' has become the most popular area of the RACQ app, which has received 80,000 downloads to date. In addition to displaying all RACQ Show Your Card and Save partners, 'Members Save' now incorporates all Dining Rewards partners under the 'Food and Dining' category. The RACQ mobile app uses the smart phone's GPS to automatically locate every partner within a five kilometre radius. Searches can be tailored by simply specifying a suburb or postcode. "The 'Members Save' component of the app is designed to ensure members get the most out of their RACQ membership," RACQ Digital Services executive manager Greg Moore said. "It shows all the additional benefits of being an RACQ member by making them accessible where they are needed most -- in the palm of their hand." LEARNER DRIVER APP RACQ has made recording the required 100 hours of driver experience easier for learner drivers with a new Learn2go mobile app. The Learn2go mobile app is designed to support the current Learn2go online learner logbook by enabling learner drivers to enter completed drives and record their supervising driver's details directly into their online logbook via their smart phone. "Digital is the channel of choice for young people, so a Learn2go app that works on Apple and Android devices is going to be very appealing," RACQ Membership's Rod Netterfield said. "One of the biggest fears learner drivers talk about is losing their hard copy logbook and having to start again. The great benefit of using the Learn2go logbook is that your hours are always backed up, and the Learn2go online logbook is recognised by the Department of Transport and Main Roads."
