QUEENSLAND'S LARGEST CLUB 11 FEATURE | RACQ IMAGES: ISTOCK. DEC 2013/JAN 2014 THE ROAD AHEAD RACQ website, racq.com, to find participating restaurants in any area she travels to. RACQ Lifestyle and Leisure general manager Mark Mugnaioni said the RACQ Dining Rewards program was expanding rapidly and was already the largest dining based cash back rewards program in Queensland. "There are already more than 400 restaurants involved in the program with more joining every day," he said. "We would encourage all of our members to sign up and start reaping the rewards today, as you never know when the next RACQ Dining Rewards restaurant might pop up around the corner." Rochedale (Brisbane) local Mark Roberts doesn't have to travel far to benefit from the RACQ Dining Rewards program. Mr Roberts and his wife Sandy enjoy a coffee and light meal at the Shingle Inn in Garden City almost every day, and have so far saved money on more than 40 occasions. Mr Roberts didn't need much convincing to join the RACQ Dining Rewards. A month before the program was launched, he saw a poster at the RACQ branch near the Shingle Inn and was keen to register. "It was a no-brainer," he said. "It's useful for the discount, but what it also does is attract the attention of the shop owner, who recognises you as a regular customer." As a commercial insurance broker, Mr Roberts has been singing the praises of the RACQ Dining Rewards program to his clients, many of whom own cafes and restaurants. "I think it's such a great idea, so I've been suggesting to all of them they get on board," he said. "It's going to attract the right sort of people to their business -- those that like to dine out regularly." From gourmet hot dogs in Fortitude Valley, to coffee and cake in Cairns, the RACQ Dining Rewards program offers a broad spectrum of cuisines and locations for members to choose from. To see what restaurants are involved in the program, check out the Members Save section of the RACQ app, or visit the website. Either way you can search for location and cuisine to find exactly where to satisfy your appetite. And if you don't find the restaurant you're looking for, you can suggest the inclusion of your favourite restaurant by emailing diningrewards@ racq.com.au. "I have got the RACQ app on my smartphone, so I can just look there to find places," Mr Roberts said. To ensure you reap the benefits of being part of the program, look for the RACQ Dining Rewards logo and always pay using your registered Visa card, pressing 'credit' or using paywave (even with debit cards). There are already more than 400 restaurants involved in the program with more joining every day.
