Local, national and international artists will create 70 sculptures that can be enjoyed day and night along with guided twilight walks, artists' talks, music, performance art and hands-on sculpture workshops for all ages. This year a selection of sculptures will be illuminated after dark to create a new and dynamic view of the artworks. swellsculpture.com.au SURF AND SOUND NOOSA JAZZ FESTIVAL World-class artists Vince Jones and Grace Knight are among the stellar line-up of talent confirmed for this year's Noosa Jazz Festival from September 4-7. Celebrating its 23rd year, the Noosa Jazz Festival has grown from a community event to an internationally- acclaimed celebration of jazz and progressive music, attracting thousands of music lovers to south-east Queensland. Australian stars of The Voice Steve Clisby and Emma Pask, plus Australia's Got Talent finalist Greg Gould and The Chase, are just some of the home-grown talent who will perform during the festival. In addition to more than 45 performances, the festival will offer workshops, master classes and jazz river cruises. noosajazz.com.au TRAVEL | WHAT'S ON EXPERIENCE A TASTE SENSATION BUNDY FLAVOURS FESTIVAL The town is already famous for its rum, but from September 8-14 Bundaberg will test its culinary mettle with cooking workshops and the Bundy Flavours Festival. Culinary Cooking Workshops, hosted by Kitchen Confidence Cookery Studio, will run from 6-7.30pm from September 8-12, utilising fresh local seafood and meat, along with seasonal fruit and vegetables. On September 14, the Bundy Flavours Festival will offer food and gardening demonstrations on two stages, specialty markets and children's entertainment from 9am-3pm at Alexandra Park. bundabergregionevents.com.au RECORD ATTEMPT EVENT OLD TRUCK AND MACHINERY SHOW Gatton's Historic Commercial Vehicle Association is aiming to break the Australian record for the most Mack trucks assembled in the same place at the same time at the Old Truck and Machinery Show on September 27 and 28. This year is the 21st anniversary of the show, which raises money for the local community. It will be held at the Gatton Showgrounds in the Lockyer Valley. hcvaq.com/show FINE FOOD ON A PLATE GOURMET IN GUNDY FESTIVAL Fine food, award-winning wines, live music and markets will be aplenty during the annual Gourmet in Gundy Festival on September 14. Held alongside the Macintyre River in Goondiwindi, the festival includes events such as the Gourmet in Focus Photography Exhibition, Junior Golf Tournament, Tamborine Mt Cooking Class, Macintyre Aero Club Fly In, Goondiwindi Open Gun Shoot, the XXXX Cup Races and Sunwater Dragon Boat Races. goondiwindi.qld.au BON APETIT! DELICIOUS AND DELIGHTFUL FESTIVAL A spectacular lantern parade along the banks of Myall Creek will be just one of the highlights of Dalby's Delicious and Delightful Festival on August 23-24. Thousands of people are expected to converge on Dalby to experience food from about 20 different cultures, and workshops on drumming and belly dancing, just for starters.
